Meliá is set to further expand its regional presence
in Asia with its recent appointment to manage a brand new business
hotel in Vietnam, the five
star Meliá Hanoi.
Owned by Thai-Vietnamese joint venture conglomerate, S.A.S - CTAMAD Co. Limited, the 21 storey Meliá Hanoi has been constructed at a cost of more than US$ 60 million and is scheduled for opening in December 1998. Centrally located on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, within the city�s business and diplomatic district, near the government offices, Meliá Hanoi is also within easy access to the city�s many cultural, entertainment, tourist and shopping attractions. The five star Meliá Hanoi will offer 308 deluxe rooms, including
66 executive suites and 2 grand suites. Targeting the business traveller,
a key feature of each room is the large working desk and executive
chair. Each room comes fully equipped with separate IDD and fax lines,
computer connection points and voice mail access. Other in-room features
include a complimentary tea and coffee making facility, safe deposit box,
individually controlled air conditioning units, remote controlled colour
television with satellite programmes, mini bar and refrigerator, hair dryer,
alarm clock, bathrobe and slippers.
The hotel has a fully equipped business centre which offers secretarial and translation services, facsimile and email access as well as a meeting room and executive boardroom for 8 to 12 persons.
