Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Will Manage the
Waikiki Shore All-suite Property in Honolulu

Honolulu, Hawaii USA -- October 20, 1998 - Outrigger Hotels & Resorts has announced it will begin to provide rental management for a majority of units at the Waikiki Shore resort condominium effective January 1, 1999. Units are currently being managed by Aston Hotels & Resorts. The property is Outrigger's first condominium on Oahu and its third beachfront location in Waikiki.

According to Perry Sorenson, Outrigger's chief operating officer, the Waikiki Shore is a welcome addition to Outrigger's portfolio of hotels and resort condominiums in Hawaii. "Condominium vacations are popular among visitors to Hawaii. We've been successful with our condominiums on the neighbor islands. Now Outrigger is pleased to be able to offer visitors a first-class condominium experience on the beach at Waikiki."

The Waikiki Shore condominium is an all-suite property with a prime beachfront location. It is located adjacent to the Outrigger Reef on the Beach  next to Ft. DeRussy and offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suite accommodations with full kitchen facilities and a washer/dryer in each unit.

The Waikiki Shore's proximity to the Outrigger Reef on the Beach will let Outrigger offer condo guests greater amenities than are now currently available to them, Sorenson said. "Waikiki Shore guests staying in Outrigger-managed units will have full access to the Outrigger Reef, including its pool, exercise room and business center. We will also offer guests the choice of upgrading their amenity package to include Outrigger's Voyagers Club level of service. This will allow Waikiki Shore guests access to the Voyagers Club Lounge at the Outrigger Reef, where complimentary continental breakfast and light afternoon snacks are offered daily," he said. Sorenson added that with Chief's Hut and the Shorebird restaurant just next door at the Outrigger Reef, Outrigger will also be able to include its popular bed and breakfast package among the special programs available to Waikiki Shore guests.

Rates for 1999 will range from $170 for a studio suite during the low season to $550 for a two - bedroom oceanfront premium unit during the high season. Low season rates apply from April 5, 1999, through June 30, 1999, and again September 1, 1999, through December 22, 1999. High season rates apply from December 23, 1998, through April 4, 1999, and again July 1, 1999 through August 31, 1999.

The Waikiki Shore joins the five premier condominium resorts currently offered by Outrigger that include Kiahuna Plantation on Kauai, Kanaloa at Kona on the Big Island, and The Palms at Wailea, Napili Shores and Maui Eldorado Resort on Maui.

Outrigger Hotels & Resorts is a division of Hawaii-based Outrigger Enterprises, Inc., the 50th largest lodging company in the world. Outrigger currently operates more than 9,000 rooms in 27 hotels and resort condominiums in Hawaii, making it the largest hotel chain in the islands.
