"The American Chef's Symposium" - 
Bringing in Celebrity/Expert Chefs from All Over the U.S. 
 
Lansing MI - October 1998 - The Fall Series at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center on the campus of Michigan State University features outstanding chefs from the Midwest to the Southwest, presenting lectures, cooking classes and dinners with the chef in the center's flagship restaurant, The State Room.

Reprising the enormously popular  Spring 1998 Series, the Fall Series opened September 24 with Chefs Michael Smith and Debbie Gold from the famed American Restaurant in Kansas City, MO. The line-up continues on October 14-15 with Paul Bartolotta of the popular Spiaggia's Restaurant in Chicago. In November 12-13 Chef Tony Mantuano of Mantuano's Mediterranean Table in Chicago will weave his food magic. Rounding out this series will be Jim Severson of Sevy's Grill in Dallas, TX on Dec. 3-4.

"The American Chef's Symposium" is sponsored by the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center at Michigan StateUniversity.  The purpose is to  bring in Celebrity/Expert Chefs from all over the United States to this mid-Michigan community and make their expertise available to the University Community, the students at Michigan State University in the School of Hospitality Business and Food Science and to the General Public in the Greater Lansing Community.

A new Symposium series is being planned for the Spring of 1999 and will feature Female Chefs exclusively.
