Benchmark Adds Singapore's  Beaufort Sentosa Hotel to its Family of Conference Hotels and Resorts
 
Sentosa, Singapore, October 1998 -- Benchmark Hospitality International, a subsidiary of Benchmark Hospitality Inc., continues its growth in Southeast Asia through a recent alliance with The Beaufort Sentosa Hotel and Conference Center.  This represents the second property that Benchmark partnered with, the first being The U-Thong Inn in Ayutthaya (Bangkok), Thailand.

The initial focus of the alliance is to develop the hotel's conference and meetings business segment.  Benchmark was selected because of its leadership in the conference resort and conference center business and provides outstanding design, marketing, and management services to many high-quality resorts and private conference centers.

The Beaufort Hotel and Conference Center is a five-star, 214-room property offering all the luxury of an Asian resort-style hotel.  Cradled within 27 acres of landscaped tropical gardens and mature woodlands, the resort includes a first-class sports center plus a host of dining options.  It is located just 10 minutes from Singapore's city center, 20 minutes from the airport, and minutes away from the World Trade Center.  The hotel is nestled between two 18-hole championship golf courses and flanked by a stretch of sandy beach.

Among the services Benchmark provides to the property are: technical services, including assistance in the development of new facilities and the modification of existing facilities at The Beaufort; marketing services and support to include specific marketing and systems programs; and training tools for conference services and related areas of operation at The Beaufort, as well as operational reviews.
