DENVER November 5, 1998 Sceptre Hospitality Resources,
a leading provider of Global Distribution Services and electronic marketing
services, has contracted with the prestigious new Bellagio hotel in Las
Vegas to connect the hotel to more than 380,000 travel agents worldwide
through GDS services.
Sceptre uses RESERVE, the industrys most sophisticated reservations system which allows travel agents to access hotel information such as detailed property information, room availability and rates. Agents can then book rooms and receive an immediate confirmation. Even a hotel like Bellagio the worlds most expensive and an incredibly spectacular hotel is not in the position to develop the technology and offer this service in-house, said Rita Emmer, director of Sceptre. By working with us, Bellagio can offer travel agents and its guests unparalleled seamless service while concentrating its efforts on providing a memorable experience. Sceptre Hospitality Resources is ranked among the worlds largest providers of electronic marketing services. In addition to providing services to the $1.9 billion Bellagio, Sceptre provides reservations services to leading hotels and hotel groups, including Mirage Resorts Mirage and Treasure Island, South Seas Resorts, the Grand Casino chain and John Q. Hammons hotels. Bellagio recently opened to much fanfare and raises the standard for opulence once again in Las Vegas. It is owned and operated by Mirage Resorts. Established in 1987, Sceptre provides GDS services, private label toll-free reservations, after-hours and overflow reservations and Internet reservations. Sceptre clients also receive marketing and productivity support as well as GDS training. |
