Hawthorn Suites LTD. in Chattanooga offers 114 studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites, all with efficiency kitchen, coffee-maker, two-line telephone with modem port, and extended cable television with movie channel and VCP.  In addition to complimentary breakfast and social
hour, the hotel provides free daily newspaper, outdoor pool, exercise room, valet service, and meeting facilities for up to 300. 

The hotel is within 10 miles of downtown Chattanooga and the Choo Choo Model Railroad Museum, Star Riverboat, Regional History Museum, Southern Belle Riverboat, University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and Tennessee Aquarium.  It is also 12 miles from Lookout Mountain and 15 miles from Raccoon Mountain.

Based in Atlanta, Ga., U.S. Franchise Systems, Inc. was formed in August 1995 by Mike Leven, a 38-year veteran of the lodging industry, and Neal Aronson, former principal of a New York investment firm, when the company purchased the franchise system rights to Microtel Inn & Suites. USFS acquired the franchise rights to Hawthorn Suites in 1996, and full ownership in March 1998.  The company also recently acquired the franchise rights to Best Inns & Suites.
