ORLANDO, FL, -- September 18, 1998 -- e.port Public Information
Network has installed public Internet terminals in the Renaissance Orlando
Resort near Sea World, the Ramada Plaza Hotel Gateway and the Holiday Inn
Lee Road. These installations continue the aggressive growth of the
e.port Public Information Network in the Central Florida market.
The e.port terminals allow travelers the ability to easily retrieve and
send e.mail and provide high-speed access to the Internet and World Wide
Web without the use of a laptop computer.
"Since the installation of the e.port terminals we've noticed a very
positive reaction, especially from our European guests," said Andy Schiavone,
General Manager of the Ramada Plaza Hotel Gateway. "e.port is a valuable
technologically advanced amenity, and as the general public becomes more
accustomed to this technology, e.port will be seen as a strong enhancement
to our guest services."
In addition to hotels, e.port terminals can be found in airports and
business centers as well. The first e.port terminals appeared in
the Orlando marketplace in May of 1997, starting with the Walt Disney World
Dolphin Hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort, and at the Orlando Peabody
Hotel. |
