Hotel Sedona Makassar the 230 room - 5 star hotel, located at the popular �Losari Beach Front� of Ujung Pandang, the capital of South Sulawesi, Indonesia, has launched an unique approach in order to help those less wealthy; the children of their adopted Muslim orphanage �Jannatul Ma�wa� in Ujung Pandang.

By way of their �Help Us Help Our Children� program, initiated by their Hotel Manager Mr. Jean Keijdener, resident guest as well as their non-resident guest are encouraged to a voluntary donation of Rp. 10.000,- or more upon settlement of their bill. The donated money is collected and quarterly channelled to the orphanage. With the help of these donated funds the orphanage is able to buy food, clothes and improve their accommodation as well as the education for their orphans.

Dewi Aryani, the hotel�s Marketing and Communications Manager explains�, the above reflects the extensive social awareness which exists within the Hotel. Earlier this year donations, initiated by all levels of  staff,  in the form of cash and clothing were donated to the children during a religious dinner celebration which all orphans attended�. Certainly in these times of hardship; every body needs some body to love and help. It is very rewarding to hear the positive reply from our guest towards the initiative and of course it give great satisfaction to see that one the day of launching  funds were made rapidly available by our guests�.
