July 16, 1998 - The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management�s
Professional Development Institute at California
State Polytechnic University, Pomona in partnership with The California
Restaurant Association and The California Hotel and Motel Association,
will conduct its 5th annual Advanced Executive Management Series at the
Moscone Center, in San Francisco. This two-day conference will take
place, as part of the Western Food Service Hospitality Expo. On August
21st and 22nd.
This Series features:
Friday afternoon�s module �Leadership, Stewardship, and more�� opens with Jackie Freiberg, an international recognized speaker and co-author of NUTS! Southwest Airlines� Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success. She will discuss the unconventional leadership principles and practices behind one of America�s truly great success stories, Herb Kelleher and Southwest Airlines. She is followed by Jim Moore, President, Moore Ideas, Inc. one of the countries� premier foodservice leaders. Valerie Ferguson, Chairman of The American Hotel and Motel Association will close the day. Linda Bacin, Vice President, Bacin Group Restaurants will start the third module �Driving Results� on Saturday August 22nd. She is followed by Cindy Estis Green, President, Driving Revenue whose topic is entitled �Redefining Revenue Management�. The series� final module is �Organizational Fitness� it includes an enlightening discussion on Continental Airlines� turnaround strategy with Rob Benson and Michelle Meissner from Continental Airlines and William N. Chernish from the University of Houston. The Keynote speaker of the day is Dick Rivera, President, Red Lobster Restaurants. This program is a must for the Hospitality executive at the top and
