INDIANAPOLIS - Aug. 27, 1998 - -Timeshare owners in three
popular gaming communities are satisfied with their purchase according
to a national survey of timeshare owners in resort gaming communities released
today.
Nearly 90 percent of owners who responded to the survey Resort Timesharing Gaming: A Survey of Resort Timeshare Owners in Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Reno expressed satisfaction with their timeshare purchase. Additionally, more than 43 percent expressed interest in owning additional timesharing, and nearly 70 percent said their ownership experience had either matched or exceeded expectations. While traditional hotel room rates have increased in these markets in recent years, the timeshare owners' rate is constant. "Timesharing gives vacationers more discretionary money for gambling and shopping," said Tom Jones, chair of the Department of Hotel Management at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. "Consumers looking for value and for the type of activities that Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City have to offer, would be well served to buy timesharing in these communities." The study was conducted by the research and consulting division of Resort Condominiums International LLC, the world's premier timeshare-services provider, under the direction of Richard L.
