BILOXI, Miss., Aug. 17, 1998 - Casino America, Inc.
(Nasdaq: CSNO) announced that "Top Out" events were held at the Isle of
Capri - Vicksburg on August 5 and the Isle of Capri - Black Hawk on August
13.
The Isle of Capri Casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi celebrated the structural completion of the top level of its six story, 120-room hotel with an "Isle Style" party for loyal customers, local officials and project managers. The hotel is scheduled to open in early December. It will feature a top floor super-suite, and each of the rooms facing the Mississippi River will be suites with balconies. Also included in the project is a two-story lounge and swimming pool with spa. "Casino America is again expanding one of its casino properties, positioning
it to become a destination resort for its guests, who have come to expect
and enjoy these amenities along with the tropical, Caribbean-themed atmosphere,"
said John M. Gallaway, President and Chief Operating Officer of Casino
America.
Construction progress was also celebrated with a Caribbean-style barbecue party at the Isle of Capri Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado, which will be completed in early 1999. This new land-based casino, a joint venture with Nevada Gold Casinos, Inc., will offer guests 1,100 slots and 24 gaming tables with four levels of parking and 1,100 covered spaces connected to the building. The Isle of Capri Casino will have the premier location in Black Hawk, just 45 minutes from Denver. "The Isle of Capri - Black Hawk will set the new standard for gaming in Colorado," stated Bernard Goldstein, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. "This project is also an important step forward for Casino America, allowing us to introduce our unique product and philosophy to another gaming market," he added. Casino America, Inc. owns and operates five riverboat and dockside casinos at four locations, including the Isle of Capri Casino, Crowne Plaza Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi; the Isle of Capri Casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi; the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana, and two riverboats operating as the Isle of Capri Casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
