DALLAS, Aug. 31, 1998 - Bristol Hotels & Resorts
(NYSE: BH - news) has announced the appointment of two new positions. Jim
Alderman has been promoted to vice president, acquisitions, and Pat Campbell
has been named vice president, development.
Alderman primarily will be responsible for finding identifying acquisition
opportunities for Bristol to operate
which would be presented to FelCor Lodging Trust or other asset owners
with Bristol as a potential joint venture partner. Alderman will also use
his extensive industry contacts to develop leads for new management contract
opportunities. For the last year, Alderman has identified acquisition targets
for Bristol in the eastern United States. He also worked in a development
role for Holiday Hospitality (now Bass Hotels and Resorts) prior to joining
Bristol.
Campbell will concentrate on securing new management/leasing contracts
for the company outside of Bristol's relationship with FelCor, in addition
to pursuing potential management company acquisitions. Campbell's 14 years
of hotel operating experience with Bristol will prove invaluable in demonstrating
to property owners the value of Bristol's operating group as the company
seeks to procure additional hotel operating agreements.
``I look forward to working with both Jim and Pat as they take on these
very important roles that will maintain Bristol Hotels & Resorts as
the industry's premier independent hotel operating company,'' stated Executive
Vice President/CFO Jeff Mayer. ``Both have been very successful over the
last several weeks in executing Bristol's new growth strategies as an independent
operator. We're very encouraged by the number of high quality contract
opportunities we're finding.''
