August 17, 1998 Orlando, FL --- The  Hotel Royal Plaza, located in the Walt Disney World Resort, has named Jim Berkley, CHA as General Manager of the 394 room hotel. The hotel is owned and operated by The Madden Group of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

Jim Berkley, CHA is a 13 year veteran of the Orlando hotel market and has previously been General Manager with Tollman-Hundley Hotels and RFS Hotels.

For over 25 years the Hotel Royal Plaza has been a crown jewel in the heart of the Downtown Disney Resort area. A multistory 394 - room  hotel (1972) offering a comfortable setting and personalized service - hotel landscaping includes tropical gardens and courtyard fountain - renovations in 1997.
