New Alliance Provides At Hand Users Real-Time Online Hotel Reservations

PASADENA, CA., JANUARY 21, 1998 - Pacific Bell At Hand (www.athand.com), the Appy award-winning online merchant and information guide, has entered into an agreement with WorldRes, the leading Internet-based hotel reservation network. This agreement now gives users of At Hand the ability to make hotel reservations and receive instant confirmation all online.

"At Hand has always been more than just a directory of business listings" said Dan Finnigan, vice president of sales and marketing for Pacific Bell Interactive Media,  "From the beginning, we have focused on helping consumers and business professionals make convenient and informed purchasing decisions. Now with the transactional capabilities of WorldRes, that convenience can go to another level. A user can find any lodging from a convention hotel to a romantic inn and make a reservation, all without ever having to leave our site."

Visitors to At Hand can search an entire region by arrival date, and see a list of all properties available for that period. Many of the listings are available only through the WorldRes database. In addition, visitors can find further information about their destinations by using At Hand's City Guides and the mapping services provided by MapQuest.

"Pacific Bell At Hand is one of the leading online directories for California and provides WorldRes with an attractive source of new customers and reservations for our member hotels" said Scott Potter, vice president of business development for WorldRes.
