BOCA RATON, FL, -- NITC Travelbase, a leading online travel service, has announced the launch of a major advertising campaign on the popular Yahoo! Search engine.

As of Jan. 1, 1998, when a visitor to Yahoo! searches for lodging, hotels or motels, chances are they will find an advertisement that leads them to their local Travelbase cityguide. Travelbase currently services a strong base
of more than 15,000 users per day (50,000 page views/275,000 hits), and is well positioned to further advance their place in the online travel industry.

"This campaign is a further demonstration of our leadership commitment to the hospitality industry and the online consumer who is looking for travel information and services," said Travelbase Editor Bill Marbach.
"Our banners on Yahoo! cover every major U.S. travel destination and will be shown more than 160,000 times per month."

Travelbase is an online series of travel guides that covers approximately 2,000 cities across the United States with an emphasis on providing hotel-related information. The site provides a consistent, easy to use
interface and provides all the information needed for travel planning including travel news, tips and updated weather reports.

Many of the hotels listed in NITC Travelbase offer hotel discounts and specials through Travelbase that are unavailable anywhere else on the 'Net. More than 1,200 hotels have added customized web sites that let Travelbase visitors see detailed information and pictures about their hotel.

"Travelbase has already established a significant popular base and we are thrilled to be in partnership to further advance their mission," said Yahoo! Regional Sales Manager Beth Maisano-Wilder. "When Internet
users use Yahoo to start searching for lodging-related info, Travelbase will be very easy to find, in fact it'll be hard to miss. And that's good news for the hospitality industry and the consumer."
