hotelsupplies.com and the Professional Association of Innkeepers
form a strategic Alliance to benefit PAII members via the Internet

February, 1998

hotelsupplies.com, the Hospitality Industry's most popular and highly used Website, has formed an alliance with PAII (the Professional Association of Innkeepers International), the world's largest organization of Bed and Breakfasts, Inns, and little "Specialty" Inns.

hotelsupplies.com will offer Free site usage and complete training assistance to any registered member of the PAII organization. "Educating the owners of these smaller inns to utilize the power of our online RFQ [Request for Quotations] system will enable the innkeepers to obtain a much higher level of Purchasing Power.

Innkeepers anonomously post their Requests, Vendors don't know the RFQ belongs to a "Small Inn", so the Vendor will offer better pricing thinking it could be a larger Hotel chain. We're very excited to welcome and assist the PAII members!" said Colin D. Fahrig, Vice President of hotelsupplies.com, who has a strong relationship with the PAII organization from a previous business venture. The hotelsupplies.com staff has already been increased to accommodate the largely anticipated arrival of PAII member questions, sign up procedures, and technical support. To further this relationship, hotelsupplies.com is also offering many additional services to Vendors registered with PAII, at a discounted rate. This will give the registered "PAII Vendor" much more company exposure through the hotelsupplies.com "Internet Yellow Pages", currently the most widely used Yellow Pages for this Industry. Also, Vendors will receive actual RFQs for the product or service categories the Vendor
signs up for, from across the USA. All that anyone needs is an e-mail address to use this service. This is mandatory.

hotelsupplies.com will provide the following services to PAII members, free of charge:

A private password and "mailbox" (the "Control Panel" for the PAII member to use the RFQ system). This enables them to place orders, seek products/services, and submit requests for needed products or services, as well as updating the images and text on their hotelsupplies.com provided Webpage (See below).
Listing all PAII properties in the hotelsupplies.com "Find a Hotel" section, giving them another avenue of exposure via the Internet, and hopefully generating a few more room sales for the average PAII member.
Free Webpage on the internet (if needed, or will link their current website) including, a colorful logo; a picture, a graphic, or photo of the Inn; The property name in big, bold letters; a 50 word description of the property; a URL (Website) address to use and advertise on their promotional material; a link to their e-mail; Property address; and the Reservation and Fax lines to the Inn.
Access to the largest "Internet Yellow Pages" for the entire Hospitality Industry. Inns may reach Vendors through Website, E mail, US Mail, or Fax numbers. Access to all private areas of hotelsupplies.com.
The "Room Swap" section of hotelsupplies.com, where Innkeepers can "swap" rooms if they
need a vacation" themselves!
Access to the latest Hospitality Industry News and upcoming trade shows.

Jo Ann Bell, Executive Director for PAII, agrees. "I think this will allow PAII members to spend more time running their inn. Time is a VERY important factor for the typical PAII member. They're usually busy cooking, cleaning, entertaining their guests, etc. This system will actually give them more time to do what they do best, Be Innkeepers!"

How does the RFQ system work? hotelsupplies.com just has redesigned their entire system, and as long as the user is using an updated browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater, or Netscape 4.0 or greater (Both FREE), the Innkeeper can spend about two minutes entering all their needs at once, walk away from the computer, and come back a day or two later to see what Vendors have bid. They then have the option to "Accept the Bid", "Negotiate the Bid", or "Remove the Bid". So instead of calling Vendor after Vendor after Vendor wasting valuable time, the Innkeeper enters it into a computer and walks away!

PAII Members interested may obtain free information, along with a specially produced "PAII / hotelsupplies.com" brochure explaining full details, by calling the hotelsupplies.com staff at 714-685-3981. Please mention that you are a PAII member!
