 Hilton Wins Accolades For
"Best Web Site"

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--Feb. 24, 1998--Hilton, the leading global hotel brand to embrace the Internet as the world becomes increasingly interconnected via travel and technology, recently added another laurel to its cyber-resume.

The February issue of InsideFlyer announced that Hilton won the award for "Best Web Site" among hotels in the magazine's tenth annual Freddie Awards. Hilton has dominated this area of the Freddie Awards both years since
a web site category was added in 1996. The Freddies -- a travel industry equivalent to the Oscar(R) and Emmy(R)
-- are based on more than 44,000 ballots submitted by InsideFlyer readers around the world.

"Hilton understands the Internet better than any (hotel chain) in the world and has created a community of
resources online for members of the Hilton HHonors(R) Worldwide guest reward program  and browsers.

We expect them to lead in this area for years to come," said InsideFlyer publisher Randy Petersen.

Located at www.hilton.com, Hilton's site features:

  • Real-time reservation booking
  • Business and leisure guest program details
  • Last-minute specials for individuals and groups
  • Destination guides
  • Hilton HHonors Worldwide online enrollment
  • Hilton HHonors Worldwide account balance inquiries
  • Hilton HHonors Worldwide reward descriptions
"It's a privilege to be recognized by frequent business travelers -- who are among the most `connected' people in
the world -- as having the number one hotel web site," said Jeffrey Diskin, president and chief operating officer of Hilton HHonors Worldwide. "With the Travel Industry Association predicting a 440 percent increase in online
travel bookings over the next two years, the Internet is an especially important category in which to be
recognized for our expertise."

Diskin said Hilton HHonors Worldwide plans to expand its web-based and other electronic communications in
1998 through online HHonors reward redemption, sub-sites in selected foreign languages to serve the program's
growing international membership, personalized pages for HHonors members, and e-mailed member activity
statements.

Robert E. Dirks, senior vice president of marketing for Hilton Hotels Corporation, agreed that dynamism is key to
an effective web site. "As with any good Internet site, Hilton's is a work in progress and is constantly being
improved -- but attention to customer service, functionality and easy navigation remains our core commitment,"
Dirks said. "Hilton.com is a site that works, which our customers truly appreciate."

Reservations can be made at more than 400 Hilton, Flamingo, Bally's, Conrad International and Vista hotels
worldwide online at www.hilton.com, or through a professional travel agent, or by contacting Hilton Reservations Worldwide at 800/HILTONS in the U.S. and Canada. Outside the U.S. and Canada, reservations can be made by
