Aston® Assumes Management of Maui Islander
- Their Ninth Property on Maui and ASTON's First in Lahaina Town -
 
HONOLULU (March 24, l998) Hotel Corporation of the Pacific, dba ASTON Hotels & Resorts, today announced an agreement with SVP Islander, LLC. to manage the Maui Islander in historic Lahaina Town on Maui. ASTON has hired Jean Fredericks to serve as general manager. SVP Islander, LLC. plans to invest in excess of $1 million dollars in improvements over the next 18 months. Included in the improvements will be the incorporation of the history of Lahaina into the renovation plans.

We now offer more than 2,200 hotel and condominium resort accommodations on Maui at prime locations in Kaanapali, Lahaina, Kihei and Wailea. Better yet, we offer properties across all price points and have more than triple the number of accorumodations as our nearest competitor."

The 374-unit resort property, which includes 11 two-story buildings set on nearly 10 acres, features hotel rooms, studios, deluxe studios and one- and two-bedroom suites. All include full kitchens except for the hotel rooms, which feature mini-refrigerators. The second-story one-bedrooms also include small porches. Nightly rates range from $82 to $92 for a hotel room, $95 to $105 for a studio, $104 to $114 for a deluxe studio, $127 to $137 for a one-bedroom suite and $184 to $194 for a two-bedroom suite. The property is located at 660 Wainee Street in Lahaina.

Amenities include a swimming pool, three picnic and barbecue areas, activities desk, guest laundry facilities, a lighted tennis court, individual air conditioners, ceiling fans, complimentary morning coffee/tea at the pool, complimentary hula, lei making and snorkel classes, Hawaiian gardens complete with identification markers, a lending library, ample parking near individual guest units, daily maid service, in-room safes, clock radios and color televisions with cable. The resort is situated one block from the center of Lahaina Town, providing guests with easy access to the town's movie theaters, shops and restaurants. In addition, shuttle service to nearby Kannapali and Kapalua resort area restaurants and shops is available for a nominal fee of $1.
