MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., May 16, 2013 -- Suzanne Hinde, general manager of the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, has received the prestigious 2012 General Manager of the Year Award – Full Service Division from Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Interstate operates the 400-room Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel in addition to 343 hotels with more than 65,000 rooms worldwide.

The General Manager of the Year award is designed to recognize a general manager who demonstrates exemplary leadership on a daily basis. Outstanding balanced scorecard performance in associate engagement, guest satisfaction, revenue, gross operating profit, RevPAR and flow are all critical factors in making this selection. Hinde was selected from about 100 other general managers in the full-service division based on these achievements.

Hinde started her career with Interstate almost 25 years ago and has continued to grow with the company.  She and her family relocated to Myrtle Beach seven years ago when Interstate was selected to manage the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel. Hinde is an extremely active member of the executive board of directors for the South Carolina Hospitality Association. She is also a board member for the Myrtle Beach Hospitality Association and the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
