Radisson Edmonton South Becomes First Hotel in Canada to Launch Lobbyfriend™
to Engage Guests in Real-Time

New social network platform for hotel guests to connect with hotel staff and other guests

- The Radisson Edmonton South has become the first hotel in Canada to install Quadriga’s LobbyFriend™, a new temporary, social network platform that enables hotel guests to connect immediately with each other and hotel staff.

“Guests are tech-savvy, and always connected and on the go with their mobile devices,” said Robin Cumine, General Manager of Radisson Edmonton South. “LobbbyFriend™ is designed to provide our guests with convenience and accessibility and allows our staff to respond quickly to their needs to ensure we deliver superior guest experience during their stay.”

LobbyFriend™ is a temporary private social network for hotels, exclusively distributed by Quadriga. To access it, guests will be provided with a PIN code upon checking in to the hotel and invited to download the free LobbyFriend™ app to their mobile device. Once logged on, guests will have immediate access to information including local events, restaurant recommendations, and best of all, the hotel’s exclusive deals and special offers.

LobbyFriend™ is a secured, temporary social network and has an easy-to-use interface to keep the hotel and its guest connected at all times, up until the guest checks out. Radisson Edmonton South is the first SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts’ properties to install LobbyFriend™ and the company plans to make the app available at other properties across Canada.
