as Assistant Vice President of National Sales

Englewood, Colo. – May 7, 2013Destination Hotels & Resorts announces the appointment of Kevin Barosso as Assistant Vice President of National Sales. In his new corporate role, Barosso will lead the Destination Hotels & Resorts National Group Sales Organization, including business plan development and revenue achievement. The position will also provide leadership, performance management oversight and future deployment strategy for the affinity team leaders and affinity team sales network.

Barosso most recently served as Director of Group Sales at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., where he was responsible for leading a team of ten group sales managers and three administrative assistants toward creating extraordinary moments for the resort’s meeting planner clients. He provided strategic direction for the department and managed the team’s productivity to align with the resort’s revenue goals. Prior to joining the Terranea team, Barosso held the position of Director of National Accounts for Destination Hotels & Resorts, where he represented the collection of properties to his client base, comprised of 25 strategic accounts and customers in the Colorado and Texas markets. During his tenure, Barosso generated more than $5 million in revenue annually for the portfolio and also worked with nine affinity team leaders to ensure that Destination Hotels & Resorts had multi-property representation in the highest producing accounts for the collection.

He also held similar roles with Interstate Hotel Corporation before joining Destination Hotels & Resorts in 1999 and held a variety of Food & Beverage operations positions with Hyatt Hotels.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin back as a member of the National Sales team,” said Curtis Bova, Vice President of Sales at Destination Hotels & Resorts. “His extensive sales experience combined with his leadership skills will help advance the strategic sales process of the National Sales team, and fuel productivity to more properties than ever before.”
