for the 123-key Hotel Madeline Telluride in Colorado

Also Appointed are Todd Gehrke as Director of Sales & Marketing and
Elizabeth Howe as Director Front of House Operations

June 6, 2013 (Telluride, Colorado)
- Craig Scott, Regional VP of Operations for Crescent Hotels & Resorts, announced the appointment of three top-flight resort industry professionals to leadership positions at Hotel Madeline Telluride, a 4-Star/4-Diamond luxury address in Telluride, Colorado.

"We're very delighted to welcome Noel, Todd and Elizabeth to the Hotel Madeline team," said Scott. "Ms. Daniel's comprehensive knowledge and prior experience with the resort, combined with Mr. Gerhke and Ms. Howe's local insight and proven professional success with the destination will be a great asset for the hotel's vision for growth."

Noel Daniel, General Manager
A dynamic leader with more than a quarter century of experience in luxury ski resort management, Noel Daniel is now General Manager responsible for all daily operations at Hotel Madeline Telluride. Daniel didn't have to travel far to take on her new assignment, having served as Resort Manager of Hotel Madeline since 2009. Daniel's comprehensive knowledge of resort operations was garnered through positions at standout properties including General Manager of Peaks Resort in Telluride; opening Director of Operations at El Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa in Taos, New Mexico; and Resident Manager/Director of Operations at The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in Vail. Daniel got her start in North Carolina as Food and Beverage Director of the Highland Lake Inn in Hendersonville.

"I'm thrilled to see Hotel Madeline's team enhanced with the insider knowledge and passion of locals," says Daniel. "I'm proud to be a part of a team that has been committed to providing an unrivaled mountain experience blending local touches and excellent service. We are excited to continue on in this path, impacting guests and residents of Telluride alike."

A native of North Carolina, Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was on the tennis and ski teams.

Todd Gehrke, Director of Sales & Marketing
With wide-ranging sales experience, much of it in the Colorado market, Todd Gehrke oversees all sales and marketing operations at Hotel Madeline Telluride, including creating innovative strategies targeted to meeting and event clientele. Gehrke is well acquainted with the Telluride market, having served as Director of Group & Conference Solutions at the Telluride Tourism Board for the past three years. Previously, Gehrke was Vice President of Sales - Leisure & Corporate Experiences at Dream Outdoors in Aspen; National Sales Manager - Corporate & Incentive at Hilton Hotels Corporation in South Carolina; and National Sales Manager at Rocky Mountain Connections, among other positions. He got his start in the luxury leisure travel industry, as a Travel Advisor and Agency Manager.

"Sharing an honest message of luxury in Telluride, to the experiential global traveler, is an honor for me," says Gerhke. "Hotel Madeline is an incredible full service lodging property.  When combined with Telluride's authenticity, it's not only the visitor who benefits, but also the economic vitality of our extraordinary destination."

Gehrke has received many accolades over his career, most recently being named one of "40 Under 40 Industry People to Watch" in 2012 by Connect Magazine. As a Certified Meeting Manager (Meeting Planners International) and Certified Travel Industry Executive (The Travel Institute), Gehrke's well-rounded education bodes to elevate opportunities for the destination.

Elizabeth Howe, Director of Front of House Operations
A resident of Telluride for two decades, Howe assures all front of house operations run smoothly at Hotel Madeline Telluride. Prior to her appointment, Howe was Vice President of Resort Operations for the Telluride Ski & Golf Resort where she oversaw Mountain Operations, Resort Operations, the Ski and Snowboard School, and the Telluride Ski and Golf Club. She began her ski industry career upon arrival in Telluride in November 1993, when she was hired as a lift operator by Telluride Ski and Golf, and quickly fell in love with the mountain lifestyle. In 2004 Howe was promoted to Guest Services Director, then to Executive Director of Resort Services and eventually to Vice President. Meanwhile, she served on the Colorado Ski Country's Operations Committee; was the designated agent and liaison for the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board; and was Director of the Telluride FIS Snowboard and Ski Cross World Cup. She was active with both NSAA and USSA and enjoys working at the snow sports industry's national level.

"I'm excited to put my resort knowledge to work at Hotel Madeline, a truly stunning property with exceptional products and services," says Howe.  "My passion is the guest service experience, and it is a thrill to bring that within a 4 Diamond hotel."

A native of Illinois, Howe graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago with a major in Biology and minor in Theology. An avid skier, cyclist and runner who finished three marathons in 2012, Howe lives in Placerville with her 7-year-old son, Henry and dog, Ophir.
