Aston Hotels & Resorts Expands its Collection of Waikiki, Hawaii Hotels,
Adding the 72-room Hotel Renew by Aston

HONOLULU - June 4, 2013--Aston Hotels & Resorts is expanding its collection of eight Waikiki properties with its first designer boutique hotel: Hotel Renew by Aston.

Today, Aston Hotels & Resorts takes over operations of Hotel Renew in the heart of Waikiki, just steps from the ocean at 129 Paoakalani Avenue. Rebranded as Hotel Renew by Aston, the property offers a luxurious getaway feel and tranquil atmosphere. It has 72 rooms with ocean, mountain or city views, artfully designed by acclaimed San Francisco designer Jiun Ho to incorporate natural elements such as sand-blasted oak woods, cool limestone and a palette of monochromatic colors.

With an emphasis on personalized service, guests are greeted with cold-scented towels and chilled beverages at check in. The hotel’s numerous amenities include: Wireless Internet, beach gear, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray consoles with unlimited movies and games, morning coffee and tea service, and a weekly cocktail mixer. As part of this enhanced amenity package, guests will have convenient access to a full-service fitness facility, a Hawaiian-influenced boutique spa, and two resort pools. The nonsmoking hotel also features an extensive recycling program and eco-friendly bathroom products.

“The addition of Hotel Renew solidifies Aston’s position as a leader in hotel operations in Waikiki, as we always strive to offer the widest range of hotels and condominium resorts,” said Kelvin Bloom, president of Aston Hotels & Resorts. “Adding a luxury boutique hotel to the Aston collection of hotels and resorts allows us to serve guests looking for an intimate getaway with all of the shopping, dining and activity conveniences of Waikiki at their doorstep. We are excited to enhance this hotel with Aston’s 65 years of hospitality experience.”

Since the designer boutique hotel opened in 2008, Hotel Renew has consistently placed at the top of national and statewide travel rankings, named among the top five haute hotels in Honolulu by Haute Living magazine, as well as one of Hawaii’s best boutique hotels as selected by readers of Hawaii magazine. In 2010, travel deal publisher Sherman’s Travel awarded Hotel Renew a Smart Luxury Award for leaving travelers with that rare and satisfying feeling of money, time and energy well spent, and The New York Times described it as an oasis where friendliness reigns.
