Prestige Hospitality Group Appoints Leo C. Bushey, III as Executive Chef
at the Clarion Hotel in Bristol, Connecticut

The Hotel is Currently Undergoing Renovation and Expansion
with a May 2013 Completion Planned

  James C. Frenis, CHA, Chief Executive Officer of Prestige Hospitality Group, LLC (PHG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Leo C. Bushey, III as Executive Chef at the Clarion Hotel located on Century Drive in Bristol, Connecticut.

Chef Bushey is an award winning chef with a long and successful culinary career at prestigious restaurants across the country including The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and the acclaimed Acqua Oyster Bar in Vernon, Connecticut.

“Our on-site restaurant and banquet hall is a focal point of the new hotel,” said Mr. Frenis in his announcement.  “We are fortunate to have someone of Chef Bushey’s fame and caliber help us create a superb culinary experience for our guests.”

Chef Bushey graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 1994 with a degree in culinary arts. In 2004, he was inducted into the prestigious Les Amis D'Escoffier Society and The Chaine des Rotisseurs.

Chef Bushey is best known in Connecticut for the innovative dining experience created at Acqua.  Under his leadership, Aqua was voted best new restaurant in Connecticut in 2004 by Connecticut Magazine.  Chef Bushey’s culinary achievements at Acqua were recognized with the 2005 Platinum Plate Award and a third place ranking out of 100 “Best Restaurants in New England” from the New England Cable Network.

“Chef Bushey is an important addition to our senior management team,” said Mr. Frenis in his announcement.  “His leadership is vital as we prepare to unveil the completely renovated restaurant and expanded hotel.”

The hotel renovation and expansion is expected to be completed this May.  The hotel, which will transition to a DoubleTree by Hilton, will include The Willows restaurant featuring New American cuisine and a 5,000 square foot ballroom.
