NewcrestImage's Development on Track for the 119-room
Hilton Garden Inn in Bryan/College Station, Texas

A Late Summer 2013 Opening is Planned

April 19, 2013
- Bryan, TX, and neighboring College Station, has seen steadily increasing room occupancy and ADR over the last twelve months. While the overall outlook is positive for the lodging industry in this region, there is however a distinct lack of full service properties to meet the needs of the market. NewcrestImage will be looking to fill this gap with their new Hilton Garden Inn development, slated to open September of this year.

NewcrestImage broke ground of this five-story property on a three and a half acre site near Highway 6 in Bryan, Texas, in November 2012. The hotel will be located at 3000 Plaza Center Court Bryan, TX 77802 – at intersection of University and Plaza Center Court. Due for completion at the end of the summer this year, the property will boast 119 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, exercise room and indoor pool. In addition, it will offer 4,500 square feet of meeting space; something the region is in dire need of, due to very limited offerings in the market.

NewcrestImage leads the development of the project; a fully integrated hotel company that merges development, construction and hotel management. Thanks to their impressive portfolio, a thorough understanding of the market, and a full-service offering, the firm is well positioned to bring this new development to fruition.

“The executive team for NewcrestImage have developed and constructed more than 10 Hampton Inn & Suites hotels. This will be the company’s first Hilton Garden Inn brand and we are excited to get it open.  We expect to open by early September,” says Sanjay Patel, Chief Operating Officer, Construction Division at NewcrestImage.

It is a well thought out move, as the Hilton Garden Inn brand is ideally suited to the Bryan, TX, market, offering as it does affordable luxury geared at maximizing productivity and enjoyment simultaneously. It is this combination that makes the brand a shoe-in for this market; one that is bolstered, if not driven, by its proximity to Texas A&M. This juxtaposition allowed the Bryan-College Station region to withstand the recession of the last few years better than most, and thanks to TAMU’s entry into the Southeastern Conference last year, the region is primed for new hospitality and leisure ventures.
