News for the Hospitality Executive |
NAPA, Calif. – April 9, 2013
– Noble House
Hotels & Resorts and River Terrace Inn are proud to announce the
appointment
of Brendan Mica as executive chef to Restaurant Cuvée in Napa
Valley, Ca. Chef
Brendan most recently held the executive chef position at Little Palm
Island
Resort & Spa and was groomed by Noble House’s corporate executive
chef,
renowned Chef Luis Pous.
“We’re extremely excited to welcome a seasoned Noble House chef to Napa,” said Thomas McCann, general manager of River Terrace Inn. “Chef Brendan’s creativity and proven success will put a new spin on Cuvée’s high country cuisine.” The Cuvée culinary team will continue to offer distinctive dishes dictated by regional availability and ripeness, producing rich comfort food flavors. After 9:30 p.m., Cuvée’s Sugar Bar satisfies any sweet tooth with hand-crafted confections and decadent desserts. Chef Brendan’s appointment also follows Cuvées announcement of its new hours – guests can now enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and sugar seven days a week. Chef Brendan began his culinary training at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, then went on to cook in Barcelona, Spain and rural Germany to further develop his culinary prowess. Upon his return to the United States, Chef Brendan went back to his hometown of Agoura Hills and opened his first restaurant as executive chef. He worked closely with a seasoned sushi chef to compose an unconventional but inspired menu. Chef Brendan’s desire to expand his knowledge base encouraged him to once again take to the road and explore the culinary world. A notable stop along his journey was as Chef de Cuisine for James Beard nominated chef Andrew Kirschner, at Wilshire Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. Since the start of his culinary training, Chef Brendan has acquired integral knowledge and experience of the culinary industry. He continued his passion for savory cuisine in Key West at Ocean Key’s Hot Tin Roof and catered to discerning palettes at The Dining Room at Little Palm Island. Chef Brendan has proven to be a valuable asset to the Noble House team and will bring his culinary prowess to Napa this month.
