(Charleston, SC) – February 22, 2013
– Kristin Kurie, President of the Charleston, SC-based The Wilderman Group announced the appointment of James F. (Trey) Campbell III as General Manager at Richmond Hill City Center, the popular 23,000 square-foot multi-use meeting and event facility in Georgia’s Coastal Region.

In making the announcement, Kurie noted, “Trey is a motivated, energetic and aggressive professional with a proven track record of outstanding sales growth, leadership, and the ability to adapt to almost every situation.  He is an ideal fit for the position of General Manager at Richmond Hill City Center.”

Campbell, a resident of Richmond Hill, GA, recently served as Marketing Associate and Foodservice Consultant for Sysco, a FORTUNE 100 company.  Kurie commented that during Trey’s experience with Sysco, “he excelled at being a ‘student of his market’ and of the industry.”  Kurie continued, “Trey maintains an acute sense of market trends, technology, and vision that is completely appropriate with the forward-thinking consumer experience offered at Richmond Hill City Center.”

Over the past few years with Sysco, Trey established and maintained the highest levels of enthusiastic professionalism among his clients in the Bryan County area and forged strong working relationships among local businesses and organizations.  Proficient in networking and relationship building, Trey commented, “I am proud to note that Richmond Hill City Center was among those with whom I shared a strong commitment to the unsurpassed consumer experience.   I am thrilled to be working with a group that is so dedicated to providing the best customer experience and to a strong commitment to the community.”

Trey has worked in the food service and hospitality industry in Mississippi, South Carolina, Georgia, and California.  During his five-year tenure with Sysco in North Florida and Coastal Georgia, Trey developed menu engineering and design, menu analysis, culinary and operational reviews as well as inventory management, food/operating cost consulting, and managed long-term relationships with clients.  Trey consistently looks for a creative approach to business operations, noting: “I like to build excitement around cutting-edge initiatives so we can all work toward success.”

As a marketing and finance student at East Mississippi Community College, Trey held numerous leadership positions while attending on both academic and athletic scholarships.  He was awarded the Community Leadership Scholarship and received The Hope Scholarship for peer leadership and support.
