(Tarrytown, NY) – February 13, 2013 – Gilbert Baeriswil, General Manager at the Castle Hotel & Spa has announced the appointment of Dawn Berry of Nyack, NY as Spa Manager of the luxurious new THANN™ Sanctuary Spa.
 
Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Therapy from the State University of New York at New Paltz and is a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in therapeutic massage. After achieving her bachelor’s degree, Dawn continued her education and experience in Massage Therapy, which enabled her to facilitate self-care and healing to those ranging from athletes to physically impaired persons of all ages.
 
In making the announcement, Baeriswil noted, “Dawn is driven and passionate about the healing elements found not only in nature, but in the practice of massage itself. Dawn is the perfect complement to the THANN Sanctuary Spa, known throughout Asia as an oasis of peace and tranquility and the art of natural therapy. We are delighted to welcome her to Castle Hotel & Spa.”
 
Dawn supports the philosophy of total respect for nature, its healing elements and their applicability as nurturing and healing properties. Prior to opening her own practice, Dawn served as a Spa Manager/Massage Therapist in Nyack, NY where she created and developed a comprehensive spa menu of services and implemented new and innovative treatments. Dawn ensured the highest quality standards of practice among massage therapists and estheticians to ensure satisfaction of client guest services.
 
Among her experience in management over the years, Dawn has excelled at initiating business growth and development tactics, managed weekly payroll, daily revenue, product inventory, troubleshooting, and monitoring overall salon performance and efficiencies at spas, salons, and health clubs in the New York/New Jersey area. She has facilitated team training for treatment services, service upgrades, innovations and promotions that focus on client/guest satisfaction in alliance with her training in concept business management. Dawn is also the Co-Founder, Hudson Valley Healing Group for Professional Healers.
 
The 7,800 square-foot Spa will features separate locker facilities, hot pools, and steam rooms for men and women, seven treatment rooms, and a VIP treatment suite. There is also an expansive relaxation lounge with tranquil views of the wooded grounds. The atmosphere of quiet and privacy is supported by architectural screening, protected views, and acoustical isolation. Interior finishes emphasize natural materials, subtle colors, and minimal detail.
 
The development of the THANN™ Sanctuary Spa is the first part of a ten-million dollar renovation project that includes 4,100 square feet of meeting & banquet space, the 31 luxurious guest rooms and suites, public spaces, and the award-winning Equus restaurant and kitchen.
