Republic, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Tony Nichols as
U.S.
National Group
and Golf
Manager. This new role carries responsibilities ranging from driving
demand for
U.S. golf
group and
individual bookings to overseeing promotional opportunities as it
relates to
golf events
on the
resort’s three Pete Dye-designed courses, including the famed Teeth of
the Dog.
“We are very excited to have Mr. Nichols join our team as National Group and Golf Sales Manager. Considering his notable accomplishments, we are confident Tony will surpass our expectations in the new role,” said Peter Bonell, chief marketing officer of Casa de Campo. Nichols joins the resort team following four years spent at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., as their National Sales Manager. During his time at Kingsmill, he wrote a published article for PGA Magazine in 2011 about group golf business for resorts. Prior to that time, Nichols owned and operated “Mulligan’s Restaurant” in Salisbury, Maryland. In the golf realm, Nichols attended Salisbury University before pursuing a career in professional golf, becoming a PGA Member in 1992, which led him to prominent positions as Head Golf Pro in Salisbury, Maryland and Director of Instruction at Mt. Snow Golf School, in Ocean City Maryland. Nichols currently resides in Williamsburg, Va., with his wife and three daughters.
