Tony Nichols Appointed as U.S. National Group and Golf Sales Manager
for Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Oct. 16, 2012 – The management of Casa de Campo, the 7,000-acre World’s Leading Golf Resort for the last five consecutive years, located on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Tony Nichols as U.S. National Group and Golf Manager. This new role carries responsibilities ranging from driving demand for U.S. golf group and individual bookings to overseeing promotional opportunities as it relates to golf events on the resort’s three Pete Dye-designed courses, including the famed Teeth of the Dog.

“We are very excited to have Mr. Nichols join our team as National Group and Golf Sales Manager. Considering his notable accomplishments, we are confident Tony will surpass our expectations in the new role,” said Peter Bonell, chief marketing officer of Casa de Campo.

Nichols joins the resort team following four years spent at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., as their National Sales Manager. During his time at Kingsmill, he wrote a published article for PGA Magazine in 2011 about group golf business for resorts. Prior to that time, Nichols owned and operated “Mulligan’s Restaurant” in Salisbury, Maryland.

In the golf realm, Nichols attended Salisbury University before pursuing a career in professional golf, becoming a PGA Member in 1992, which led him to prominent positions as Head Golf Pro in Salisbury, Maryland and Director of Instruction at Mt. Snow Golf School, in Ocean City Maryland. Nichols currently resides in Williamsburg, Va., with his wife and three daughters.
