The Hotel Group Names Amanda Anderson as General Manager
of the 100-room Holiday Inn Express - Lewiston in Idaho

Edmonds, Wash.—October 17, 2012
—The Hotel Group has recently named Amanda Anderson General Manager of its Holiday Inn Express hotel in Lewiston, Idaho. The 100-room property, located at 2425 Nez Perce Drive, sits above the Lewis and Clark Valley overlooking the Clearwater River, giving guests breathtaking panoramic views.

THG is a nationally recognized Top 40 hotel company that currently manages and/or owns 25 properties representing 10 brands and one upscale independent hotel across 10 states. With 28 years of successful hotel ownership and management experience, the company is consistently successful in turning around underperforming properties and making them market leaders.

“Amanda brings a wealth of experience to THG and the Holiday Inn Express Lewiston,” said Brian Latture, THG Director of Operations. “Her property experience as both hotel operations director and senior director of sales and catering for the Red Lion hotel chain has given Amanda the executive decision-making skills she needs to manage this highly successful property. Her prior role as General Manager of the Adcope Athletic Club in Lewiston also has prepared Amanda for this next step in her hospitality career. She not only increased revenues by 108 percent in that role, but she also raised membership by 43 percent. This is a true testament to her motivation and strong work ethic. It is this desire to succeed, along with her leadership skills and commitment to open communication with employees, that made Amanda the right GM candidate."

In her various roles, Anderson managed meetings and catering functions, directed budgeting and revenue planning, performed revenue-management and group management tasks, negotiated volume corporate accounts, provided technical support for the hotel's property-management system, managed front-desk operations, and performed various customer-service duties, including handling customer complaints. She also served as Human Resources Manager for GCH Management Inc. in Clarkston, Wash., where she supervised all HR functions for 260 employees working in 33 stores in six Northwest states and Hawaii.

"Being employed by The Hotel Group and serving as General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express Lewiston is a tremendous opportunity," Anderson said. "THG is not only dedicated to creating maximum investment value for hotel owners, but they also focus on their employees, striving to provide personal and professional growth whenever and wherever possible. That's a dream come true. I am extremely proud to be representing the Holiday Inn Express Lewiston to the local market. It consistently is a strong performer in occupancy, average daily rate and revenue. That says a lot about the hotel, its employees, and The Hotel Group, especially considering the recent economic trials the industry has faced. I look forward to working closely with hotel staff and introducing this property to the great business people and residents of Lewiston."

The Holiday Inn Express Lewiston is ideal for leisure and business travelers alike. The property provides choice amenities, such as a complimentary, hot Express Start breakfast bar, an on-site fitness center and indoor pool with hot tub, and a 24-hour business center.  Free high-speed Internet is offered, along with a 500-square-foot meeting room. The property is in close proximity to close proximity to area attractions, such as the Bryden Canyon Golf Course and Lewis-Clark State College, the Lewis and Clark Trail, the Clearwater River Casino, Le Braggadocio Dinner Theatre and Hells Canyon State Park.
