SEATTLE, Wash., November 6,
2012 — The Dow Hotel Company, LLC (DHC), a hotel ownership,
investment and
management company, today announced the promotion of Michael McGuigan
to
general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton O’Hare Rosemont in Illinois.
In his new role, McGuigan will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 369-room hotel in addition to providing regional support to the Embassy Suites Rosemont. Prior to his promotion, McGuigan was general manager of the Chicago Marriott Suites Deerfield“Since joining Dow in 2000, Mike has played increasing more important roles at some of the most prominent hotels in our portfolio,” said Murray Dow, chief executive officer of The Dow Hotel Company. “Mike has made significant contributions to every hotel he’s led, and this promotion recognizes his ability to provide not only day-to-day guidance, but big-picture perspective to complex, full-service hotels in high-volume locations.” McGuigan joined Dow Hotels in 2000 and has served as director of operations for the Embassy Suites O’Hare. He began his 25-plus year hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels and in the Atlantic City casino industry. Located at O’Hare Airport (ORD), the DoubleTree by Hilton Rosemont is a AAA four-diamond award winner set across the street from the Donald E. Stephens Convention and Conference Center. Each of the hotel’s 369 rooms is family-friendly, offering a pull-out sofa, and bathrooms are equipped with separate shower and tub. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, indoor pool, business center and complimentary airport shuttle. The hotel also features three dining options: Gibson’s steakhouse for fine steaks and chops and BC Bistro and Lounge, a trendy, more casual option, and a Starbuck’s coffee/gift shop.
