Julie Korountchev Welcomed as the New Director of Sales & Marketing for the
International Palms Resort and Conference Center Cocoa Beach in Florida

COCOA BEACH, Fla. (December 18, 2012) – The International Palms Resort and Conference Center Cocoa Beach has announced the addition of Julie Korountchev, Director of Sales & Marketing, to the resort’s executive team. In her new role, Korountchev will be responsible for the oversight and management of sales and marketing initiatives at the 500-room oceanfront resort and Cocoa Beach’s only conference center.

Korountchev has more than 24 years of hotel hospitality and sales industry experience, including 15 years in the Cocoa Beach market.  Most recently she served as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront and the Doubletree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Oceanfront with Westmont Hospitality.  Prior to that, Korountchev was Director of Sales and Marketing at the Crown Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront Resort and Spa, where she was responsible for leading the nine-member sales and marketing team, and for managing 16,000 square feet of meeting space. A seasoned professional in the local sales and marketing industry, she also spent time at the Doubletree by Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront and the Holiday Inn Melbourne Oceanfront. Korountchev earned her degree from the University of Wyoming. She is Chair Deveruex of the Florida Business Development Council and is actively involved with March of Dimes and the Central Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.
