Vision Hospitality Group Begins Construction of the 126-room Fairfield
Inn & Suites, Nashville Downtown @ the Gulch in Tennessee

December 14, 2012 - Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. began construction this week on a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott located in the Gulch district of Downtown Nashville. This hotel is one of six Marriot-branded hotels either in operation or development in Tennessee for the Chattanooga-based firm.

This hotel will be the first to be developed in this dynamic neighborhood. The hotel will be eight stories high with 126 rooms and suites, and an attached parking garage. The Fairfield Inn & Suites, Nashville Downtown @ the Gulch has been designed to complement the contemporary feel of the Gulch, and along with the modern design, the hotel will feature rooftop meeting space that will have panoramic views of the Nashville skyline.

The Gulch is known for its commitment to environmental responsibility, becoming an official LEED certified Green Neighborhood in 2009. In keeping with the characteristics of the neighborhood the Fairfield Inn & Suites will pursue LEED certification. Vision Hospitality Group’s President & CEO Mitch Patel explained that this new hotel will be both an exceptional addition to the company’s portfolio and a “unique contribution to the Marriott brand”.

“Our continued partnership with Marriott reinforces our ongoing strategy to invest in premium brands in growing markets,” Patel said. “We look forward to becoming a part of this growing neighborhood.”

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is projected to open in February of 2014, and is one of eight Vision properties currently under construction. The Chattanooga-based company has a portfolio that currently includes two properties in the Greater Nashville region; the Hyatt Place Nashville Airport and the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville/Franklin/Cool Springs with two additional hotels in development; the Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott in Murfreesboro, TN.
