September 10, 2012 - Johan Joris has
recently been
appointed General Manager of The Hotel Brussels on Waterloolaan, which
was
acquired last year by the Swedish real estate group, Pandox AB and
which is
currently undergoing a spectacular renovation.
Johan Joris (48) was born and raised in Belgium and
boasts an impressive career in the hotel industry, with extensive
experience in
Belgium and abroad. He started out in the hotel industry in 1988. He
went on to
hold several positions in Belgium in the Alfa Hotel group. The
subsequent
acquisition of this group by NH Hoteles provided new career
opportunities for
Johan. He was in charge of the opening of two NH Hotels in Brussels and
Frankfurt and was then made responsible for eight NH Hotels in
Flanders. From
2003 onwards he successively held various positions for NH Hoteles
Group in The
Netherlands and France, including General Manager, Pre-opening Manager
and
Regional Manager. In 2011 he joined the Russian Azimut hotel group,
with 22
hotels in Russia, Germany and Austria, where he was appointed Director
of
Operations.
Johan Joris will serve as General Manager of The
Hotel, starting on 1 September 2012.
