ACME, Mich., July 5, 2012 --- Grand Traverse Resort and Spa has announced that Kelly Jo Bowman has joined the Resort as a National Sales Manager.

In her position, Bowman represents the Resort to the following meeting and conference market segments: State/National Association, Corporate, Government, and SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, Fraternal ) in the Michigan 517 area code and Corporate, Association, Government and SMERF in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Prior to joining Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, Bowman held sales positions at several properties in Illinois including: Corporate Sales Manager at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Ill.; Corporate Sales Manager at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, Schaumburg, Ill.; Dual Director of Sales for the Hampton Inn, Westchester and Lombard, Ill.; Sales Manager at the Oak Brook Doubletree Hotel, Oak Brook, Ill., and Sales Manager at the Baton Rouge Marriott, Baton Rouge La.

Bowman is an avid sailor, and is certified by the United States Coast Guard as Master Captain 50-Ton. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich.
