A Slideshow from a Week with
Hospitality Upgrade and Hotel-Online

As we draw to the close of another week of HITEC, this year’s event was hosted in Baltimore with four gorgeous days sandwiched between two heat waves. Are we lucky or what?

The show was abuzz with activity on Tuesday as that was a high traffic day. Everyone I spoke to said that this was an extremely productive day and that included attendees and exhibitors alike. More than once I heard that there were only a small number of tire-kickers this year and the majority of folks were decision makers there to make decisions now. The general sessions had great speakers with relevant and, more importantly, interesting information for our industry. It is always good to get a perspective from outside our industry and that is exactly what we received. And there was all the industry vendor news. The news, the news, the news! It was an exciting week. The nightly festivities were as lively as ever. I’ve captured some of the feeling of this year’s HITEC week in the following slideshow. We’ll have much more included in the upcoming issue of Hospitality Upgrade.

No doubt we will all be sleeping a bit longer this weekend and wearing more comfortable shoes for a few days. It has been my experience that it wouldn’t be HITEC if it didn’t hurt just a little bit the day after.
