Accor Opens the 247-room Novotel Saigon Centre
in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam

August 9, 2012
- Accor, the leading international operator of hotels in Asia-Pacific and Vietnam, today announces the opening of Novotel Saigon Centre, a newly-built hotel located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). This new upper mid-scale hotel promises new experiences and convenience for both business and leisure travellers visiting this vibrant city.

Mr. Patrick Basset, Senior Vice President, Accor Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, says, “Novotel Saigon Centre’s prime location makes it an ideal place to stay when visiting this city.  We are proud to introduce this new Novotel hotel as it completes the spectrum of Accor hotel brands that guests visiting the city can choose from – from luxury Sofitel, upper-midscale Novotel, to economy ibis. Saigon now has an Accor hotel to meet all travellers’ budgets and expectations.”

The 247 guest rooms and suites have been thoughtfully designed to present guests with spacious, modern and efficient room functionalities, while maintaining the full sense of relaxation and comfort for which the Novotel brand is globally renowned. Guests can find top-of-the-line amenities and new features such as a connectivity panel and switchable transparent bathroom glass, and avail of free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel.

Mr. Thierry Le Ponner, Novotel Saigon Centre’s General Manager says, “Novotel Saigon Centre offers a new alternative for visitors, whether the purpose of stay is for business or leisure. The hotel’s modern facilities combine technology and well-being to respond perfectly to all travellers’ needs. With spacious rooms, superb services, and a strong commitment to sustainable development, this hotel is destined to make an impression with the best hospitality experience for all guests and raise the bar for all 4-star hotels in this city.”

The hotel features four distinguished food and beverage outlets. With modern décor and an open kitchen concept, Novotel’s signature restaurant - The Square - offers exquisite international cuisine, with both buffet and à la carte options. The Premier Lounge provides a variety of drinks and snacks to guests staying on Premier Floors, offering exclusive benefits such as a private breakfast buffet and all-day refreshments.

Bar 167 Faubourg allows guests to sit inside in a modern and relaxed atmosphere or outside on the terrace, watching people bustling through the city. Guests can also relax by the pool and enjoy cocktails and refreshments with a stunning view of the city centre at the Pool Bar.

True to Novotel’s commitment to successful meetings, the hotel's five meeting rooms offer state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, while providing over 400 square metres of space that can accommodate up to 350 persons. Technical support teams are always on standby to ensure the success of all corporate or social events, medium-to-large functions and parties.

To counterbalance with relaxation, the hotel’s wellness centre, In|Balance, extends its invitation to an in-house swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna and spa.

Located in the heart of the city’s business and entertainment area, the hotel is just a short 20-minute drive from HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport and merely 1.5 km away from Saigon Railway Station. It is only a few steps from the city’s landmarks, such as the Reunification Palace, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market.
