The Marti Group to Open the 270-room Marti Istanbul Hotel
in Turkey in July 2012

May 30, 2012 (Istanbul, Turkey)
- This summer, the Marti Group will launch its first city address with Marti Istanbul Hotel , a new 5-star property set in the cultural and commercial heart of Istanbul. Fashioned by internationally acclaimed designer Zeynep Fadillioglu, the glamorous 11-story, 270-room hotel is arrayed with contemporary attributes, striking artwork and exclusive touches that reflect the heritage of the surrounding city. The hotel will open in two phases, with the debut of all guest rooms in July and all public spaces in September.

Marti Istanbul Hotel is the latest addition to the Marti Group, a family-owned hospitality organization and one of the leading hotel groups in Turkey. Founded in 1967, Marti Group operates five hotel and resort properties along the Turquoise Coast.

"We're excited to launch the company's first urban address here in the heart of Istanbul," said General Manager Sedat Nemli. "Marti Istanbul Hotel will offer guests the finest elements of Turkish hospitality, along with striking design and innovative cuisine."

Location, Location, Location
The location of Marti Istanbul Hotel in the vibrant neighborhood of Taksim is one of its many attributes. The shopping, cultural and commercial heart of the city, Taksim is surrounded by hip theaters, restaurants and ancient bazaars, and positions hotel guests right at the center of life in Istanbul. The famed shores of the Bosphorus and several major historic sites such as the Blue Mosque, Topkopi Palace and Hagia Sophia are all within easy reach.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed to a spacious courtyard between the entrance and the street, which is a rarity in Istanbul. The hotel also features an expansive and panoramic terrace on the hotel's 11th floor, offering impressive perspectives on the city while serving as a hot spot for conviviality and conversation.

An Eye for Ottoman Art and Design
Turkish designer Zeynep Fadillioglu was a keen choice for styling Marti Istanbul Hotel. The award-winning designer employed her passion for storytelling throughout Marti Istanbul Hotel, using colors, textures, textiles and architecture to fashion rich yet clean public spaces and guest rooms in modern Ottoman style.

The hotel's striking Atrium lobby is drenched in natural light and arrayed with sparkling chandeliers, a winding staircase and wall panel mirrors. Art plays a major role throughout the hotel, as Fadilloglu worked closely with a team of Turkish artists to create hand-painted wall designs. One distinctive piece is the water-themed projection installation by Kutlug Ataman, a Turkish Carnegie prizewinner.

Spacious guest rooms are designed to the highest international standards and dressed with striking purple and blue palettes. All accommodations feature contemporary in-room technologies, including a 42-inch flat screen television, an iPod docking station and Internet access. The majority of guest rooms also feature marble and glass enclosed bathrooms with separate rainforest showers. Suite guests enjoy lavish hammam-style basins surrounded by richly textured mosaics.

The premium guest room is the Regal Suite on the 10th floor of the hotel. The one-of-a-kind, 2,700-square foot suite delights with Bosphorus views, a warm living room with dining area and piano, kitchen, study, walk-in closet, and a magnificent hammam-style bathroom with Jacuzzi, vanity corner and double wash basin. Upon request, guests can enhance their regal experience by reserving private butler service.

Fine Turkish Dining
Marti Istanbul Hotel offers two restaurants and multiple bar areas serving culinary concepts by Executive Chef Frédéric Médigue.

Located steps inside the hotel's entrance, Marti's serves an assortment of French, Asian and Turkish dishes in a relaxed setting that will draw local residents and hotel guests alike. Seasonal fare is created in an open kitchen that showcases a rotisserie and grill. Other key features include outdoor seating, an extensive wine selection, and weekly French specialties.

Ascend the winding staircase to the Mezzanine Level, where the Quad Restaurant & Bar awaits guests. Guests can stretch out on comfortable lounge chairs and sip cocktails beneath an impressive Ottoman tent decorated with Turkish motifs.

Additional hotel dining options include a charming Piano Bar on the Mezzanine Level; a Lobby Lounge just inside the hotel entrance; and Lounge 11 on the top floor for exclusive use of suite guests. There will also be a Gourmet Shop with branded gifts for purchase, such as chocolates and pastries made in-house.

Serenity at the Spa
On the 11th floor of the hotel, the 8,600-square foot spa offers a broad range of rejuvenating therapies in a serene and stylish space. The spa features four hammams, three saunas, two steam rooms and five treatment rooms, as well as a relaxation area and "vitamin bar," all ideal for rejuvenating after a day of sight-seeing. On the terrace, guests can work up a sweat in the spacious and modern glass-enclosed gym, which features the latest range of fitness equipment and panoramic views.

Meetings and Events
With 7,400 square feet of meeting and event space, Marti Istanbul will be a quintessential destination for business meetings and upscale celebrations. Cast in the glow of natural light, the hotel's elegant ground floor Ballroom and accompanying foyer can accommodate more than 200 guests, while four Mezzanine Level boardrooms are ideal for private meetings and events. All facilities are equipped with contemporary communication and presentation technologies, and clients enjoy the services of the hotel's full-time event and catering staffs.
