Charles King Appointed as General Manager for the 170-room
Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa in Dallas, Texas

DALLAS, Tex. (May 10, 2012)
– The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa is proud to announce Charles King as general manager of the chic landmark hotel rich in history and the energetic Uptown vibe. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience, King aims to preserve the hotel’s legacy while elevating service and the guest experience to new levels as the property becomes Texas’ first and only member of the Luxe family of hotels in 2012.

“I’m so pleased to be a part of The Stoneleigh experience and look forward to witnessing the inception of this fantastic hotel into the Luxe hotel family,” says King. “As this transition comes to fruition, guests will recognize The Stoneleigh for its distinct individuality and personality, exceptional design, unique style and extraordinary level of personalized service.”

With over 17 years of experience in upscale resort and hotel management, King is well equipped for success at The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa. King brings high energy, team-focused, competitive business thinking and leadership skills to the Uptown hotel that bridges the gap between historic grandeur and contemporary style.

King’s past positions include a number of fantastic properties. As the Regional General Manager of the 650-room Forever Resort in Page, Ariz., King was responsible for the oversight of all Hotel operations including food and beverage, sales and marketing, retail and maintenance operations. During his four years there, his focus on team retention contributed to the bolstering of all departments. While serving as general manager at Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas in Page, Ariz., he also took charge of improving guest services at the resort which included a 500-plus slip marina. Other posts included General Manager at Eagle Rock Resort in Hazleton, Penn., where King embraced the need for meticulous attention to detail required to manage a 6,500-acre upscale residential resort community that included four culinary outlets, a golf course, skiing, health club and spa and an equestrian center.

“King’s attention to detail and service in relation to the customer experience is evident at every property he has been associated with, and his dedication to enhancing every stay by exceeding guest expectations is immediately evident at The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa,” says Bruce Roy, regional director of operations, CAM Hospitality Management.

An alluring union of art, glamour and timeless style, The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa is a legendary landmark set in the fashionable Uptown District. The original design of the historic hotel has been meticulously preserved through a $36 million transformation that boasts a modern flair, ultimately bridging the gap between historic grandeur and contemporary style. With the award-winning Spa at The Stoneleigh and more than 6,000 square feet of meeting and event venues including the 11th floor Penthouse Suite designed by Dorothy Draper, the hotel offers exceptional service and an upscale experience for business and leisure travelers.
