Sage Hospitality Gears Up for Growth with Three
New Development & Acquisitions Team Hires

Looking for Acquisition and Repositioning Opportunities with
Plans to Invest $1.2 Billion over the Next 24 Months

Denver, CO (June 4, 2012) – Denver-based Sage Hospitality, an established leader in hotel management, development and ownership, is pleased to announce that it has hired three new people for its Development & Acquisitions team – William Balinbin to serve as the Vice President of Acquisitions, James Hatfield III to serve as the Director of Feasibility and Lucy Clark to serve as a Financial Analyst.

As Sage staffs up for their new demand, they continue to look for acquisition and repositioning opportunities ranging from $25 million to $300 million in both primary and secondary markets across the United States. Sage’s manages hotel assets in the following categories: Premier & Lifestyle, Full Service and Select Service Hotels. Sage Restaurant Group manages and develops unique restaurant concepts across the country.  With a strong history in urban adaptive reuse, Sage is pursuing acquisitions, urban redevelopment projects and new build opportunities.

“With our plan to invest $1.2 billion over the next 24 months, we are expanding our reach and depth in our target markets,” said Sage Chief Executive Officer Walter Isenberg.  “The addition of William, James and Lucy to our already strong team will allow us to meet this goal.   We are very fortunate to work with the strongest brands and hotel investors in the market and look forward to growing our platform with them.”

Balinbin was most recently a Principal at Miami’s Lionhart Hotel Group. A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, he previously served as a Vice President at the Viceroy Hotel Group and an analyst for Ernst & Young’s Hospitality Advisory Services. He was also a Fire Fighter in the U.S. Air Force who served in Iraq as part of “Operation Desert Storm.”

Hatfield joins Sage from Colorado’s Madison Capital Management. He is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and previously worked at Tishman Hotel & Realty in New York.

A graduate of Harvard, Clark recently earned her Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University. She previously worked for the Real Estate Banking Group at Wells Fargo & Company in Denver.
