native Rik Blyth, has recently been appointed as General Manager of the
Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. In this position, he is
responsible for
the day to day operations of the property, assuring quality guest
service,
overall financial success and setting of long range goals and business
plans.
Blyth has had an extensive career in the hotel and tourism industry. He spent 12 years managing various resort properties in the US Virgin Islands before coming back to the North Shore. “It is exciting to be back in the city of my birth, especially in the North Shore area, which is such a beautiful part of Chicago with a great business base,” notes Blyth. Prior to becoming the General Manager for Renaissance North Shore, Blyth and his family were quite the travelers.
