Peter Dickinson Appointed as Director of Food and Beverage
for the 151-room National Hotel Miami Beach in Florida

June 11, 2012 (Miami, FL)National Hotel Miami Beach has announced the appointment of Peter Dickinson as Director of Food and Beverage. Dickinson will oversee all food and beverage operations at the historic oceanfront luxury hotel, including The Restaurant, Aqua Bar & Grill, Blues Bar, as well as catering, banquets and in-suite dining.

"We're excited to have Peter bring his vast and creative experience to our team. As we move forward repositioning as a four- to five-star property, Peter's expertise will be important from a culinary and entertainment perspective," said Yaser Mohamad, Director of Operations at National Hotel Miami Beach.

Previously, Dickinson held several food and beverage-related hotel management positions, including Assistant General Manager/Food and Beverage Director at The Culver Hotel in Los Angeles; Assistant General Manager/Food and Beverage Director at Keswick Hall & Club, an Orient-Express Hotel in Charlottesville, Virginia; Food and Beverage Director at Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans; and Food and Beverage Director at The Setai in Miami Beach.

Dickinson also draws on experience at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, home of the AAA Five Diamond Belvedere Restaurant, starting from Beverage Manager to Director of Operations over a seven-year run from 1996-2003. Also in California, Dickinson worked at Shutters on the Beach from 1993-1996 in several capacities including Restaurant and Lounge Manager. He began his career as Executive Steward at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia back in 1990.

Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Dickinson earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Rutgers University and studied finance, asset management and marketing at the School of Hotel Management at Cornell University. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1986-1992. He currently lives in South Beach.
