Texas (June 25, 2012) – Magnolia Lodging, LLC is
pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Lee to General Manager and
Groffie-Gregg to Sales Manager at the forthcoming Home2
Suites by Hilton® in Frisco, Texas. Located at 2000 Parkwood
Frisco and slated for a fall 2012 opening, the new hotel will be the
of its kind in the DFW area, and the second Home2 Suites to open in
Lee will oversee all aspects of the 122-suite hotel’s operations,
guest services, revenue management and administration; Groffie-Gregg
oversee all aspects of the hotel’s sales department, including
negotiated rates and group sales.

We look forward to our Home2’s performance under their leadership.”
Prior to joining the Home2 Suites, Lee was the Assistant General Manager for the award-winning Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas/Frisco hotel, located minutes from the new Home2 site at 3240 Parkwood Blvd. During his time at the Homewood Suites, the hotel was recognized for outstanding performance in RevPAR, occupancy, extended-stay occupancy, guest loyalty and satisfaction; and was ranked No. 3 out of 310 open and operating Homewood Suites hotels in 2011. The hotel also received awards for excellence in front desk, food and beverage, engineering, suitekeeping and the Connie Pride Award of Merit. Lee has served as Assistant General Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Richardson, also a Magnolia Lodging hotel, where he was an integral member of the opening team from 2008 – 2009.
Sales Manager Sue Groffie-Gregg brings over 10 years of industry experience at branded hotels to her new role, most recently serving as the Sales and Events Coordinator at the Homewood Suites Dallas/Frisco. Prior to the Homewood Suites, Groffie-Gregg served as the dual Sales Manager for Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites in Allen, Texas; preceded by sales positions at the full-service Westin Stonebriar Resort and Sheraton Stonebriar Resort, both in Frisco. She was the opening Director of Sales for the 105-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Frisco, where she led a successful ramp-up and developed a solid client base for the hotel’s first five years of operation.
The Home2 Suites in Frisco was the eleventh Home2 Suites to break ground since Hilton Worldwide first introduced the brand concept in early 2009, and joins the San Antonio Home2 Suites as the second hotel in Texas. Minutes away from Frisco shopping, dining and entertainment, the hotel will be adjacent to the Stonebriar Centre shopping mall, IKEA, the Frisco Convention Center, and the Dr Pepper Ballpark and Star Center.
The Frisco Home2 Suites will be a 122-room all-suite extended-stay hotel with an extensive array of amenities standard at all Home2 Suites properties. All Home2 Suites feature an open lobby area with approximately 4,200-square-foot community space called the “Oasis,” which includes communal and individual work zones, complimentary wireless access, a 52” flat-screen TV and an expansive daily complimentary continental breakfast service.
All guest suites at the new Frisco hotel will include modern features and amenities, such as the proprietary Home2 Suites “working wall,” which incorporates the kitchen and flexible working space connecting separate living and bedroom zones. A fully accessorized kitchen will contain a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, place settings for six, microwave oven and coffee maker, and the media/working zone will feature a queen-size sofa/sleeper, 42” flat-screen TV, roll-around ottoman, ambient task lighting and an iHome alarm clock with iPod port and MP3 jack. Various pieces of furniture in each of the suites will also be designed to move around, allowing guests to create customized living spaces and adjustable storage options.
The Home2 Suites brand is committed to environmentally conscious practices and has been incorporating a number of sustainable living fixtures and services into all new hotels. In addition to recycling throughout the hotel, guest suites feature low-flow showers and faucets, biodegradable food trays, compact fluorescent light bulbs, dual-flush toilets, recycled flooring, Energy Star appliances, and carpet and surfaces made from recycled product and other sustainable product selections. Home2 Suites is also rolling out Hilton’s portfolio of brand’s proprietary LightStay system, which measures energy and water use and waste and carbon output at Hilton Worldwide properties around the globe.
