A New Guest Automation Experience
EVORA provides designers more options for welcome scenes, mood lighting and blending switch
design with room decor while giving owners better operational efficiencies and energy savings

Niantic, Conn. — June 25, 2012
—INNCOM will unveil its new, programmable switch series to complement its Integrated Room Automation System (IRAS) at the 2012 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference (HITEC). Built on the same core as MODEVA™, the EVORA Switch Series is elegantly designed, easy to use, and delivers an unparalleled automation experience.

EVORA allows hotel guestroom designers to create lighting scenes and provide a guest pleasing light control environment and combine it with the ability to also control temperature, drapes and shades and guest annunciation functions without the expense of horizontal wiring within the room.

"EVORA was developed to extend INNCOM switch capabilities beyond those offered in the well-established S-Series and the innovative MODEVA series," said John Tavares, INNCOM Senior VP, Marketing and Sales. "The EVORA series uses the same advanced switching and programming technology as MODEVA but offers a more traditional guest user interface.  Its low profile, custom engraved and back-lit buttons will be a welcome addition in a variety of room design motifs.”

The switches are available in standard colors in white, black and almond and can be custom engraved with the function names. In addition, the wireless capability allows hotel operators to meet code for a Master Light Switch requirement in new construction hotels at potentially lower costs than traditional construction wiring.

"Designers like that the switches can be engraved with the function names making it very easy for the guests to find the switches during the evening and easily identify what functions they wish to turn on," Tavares said. "Additionally, guests can control other functions beyond lighting, such as Privacy, Make-Up-Room, Temperature, Drapes and Sheers and other guest annunciation requests. Finally, although the industry appreciates the high level of functionality we built into MODEVA, some customers simply prefer a more traditional guest interface, such as push buttons instead of touch surfaces, and as a result, EVORA was created."

EVORA features include:
  • Up to seven key configurations with up to five position key pad for programmable control of any IRAS feature
  • Nightlight configuration with two key positions
  • Doorbell configuration with 2twokey positions
  • Optional multifunction key for up to 10 grouped features per device
  • Backlight illuminated keys and text
  • TRIAC dimmer
  • FET dimmer
  • Relay actuator
  • Master contactor application
  • 12VDC power supply
  • Low‐voltage adapter for load center applications
  • 2.4Ghz 802.15.4 wireless RF network communications
  • S5bus wired network communications
  • Digital input for door switch contact / integration
