A Brand Debut in Mississippi and 10th U.S. Property, the
100-suite Home2 Suites Biloxi North/D’Iberville Opens

McLean, Va. (June 8, 2012) – Home2 Suites by Hilton, the award-winning mid-tier, all-suite hotel brand designed for modern business travelers and extended-stay guests, announced the opening of its tenth U.S. hotel. The Home2 Suites Biloxi North/D’Iberville is located right on the Gulf Coast, marking the first property for the brand in Mississippi.  The hotel joins nine other Home2 Suites already open in Fayetteville, N.C., Layton, Utah, Baltimore, Md., San Antonio, Texas, West Valley City, Utah, North Charleston, S.C., Lexington Park, Md.; Jacksonville, N.C.; and Nashville, Tenn. The first guest to check-in today received their first night complimentary along with a gift basket filled with all things Mississippi.

The five-story, 100-suite hotel is located at 3810 Promenade Parkway, D’Iberville, Miss., only minutes away from the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The property is owned by Thomas Properties Mississippi LLC and managed by Global Management and Investment, based in Stockbridge, Ga.  Nearby attractions include the Biloxi Lighthouse, Deep Sea Fishing Charters, the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, signature golf courses and the city’s world-renowned casinos.  The hotel is also a short drive away from the Keesler Air Force Base, the Biloxi Regional Medical Center, the Huntington Ingalls Shipyard (Northrup Grumman), the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery, and the NASA Stennis Space Center.

The hotel features an outdoor, heated saline pool with views of the Tchoutacabouffa River, and includes the standard Home2 Suites appointments that the brand incorporates to promote sustainability.  These include low-flow showers and faucets, CFL light bulbs, dual-flush toilets, recycled flooring, saline pools, Energy Star appliances, and carpet, material and surfaces made from recycled product and other sustainable product selections. Home2 properties also use real china dishes, glasses and mugs instead of disposable place settings.  The landscaping features indigenous plants, which significantly minimizes water usage and irrigation needs.

The property offers easy access to technology and inviting community spaces, as well as the trademark Home2 Suites amenities standard in all properties, such as the Oasis lobby area, the Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items, Spin2 Cycle and the “Inspired Table” complimentary breakfast.  The hotel is also pet-friendly, and features a dedicated outdoor area for four-legged guests.

Home2 Suites by Hilton currently operates 10 hotels and has nearly 70 properties in its development pipeline. The brand currently has nine properties under active construction in Frisco, Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Oxford, Ala.; Huntsville, Ala.; Jackson/Ridgeland, Miss.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Rahway, N.J.; Baltimore, Md.; and Columbus, Georgia.  Future properties are slated for many of the nation’s major markets, including Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Denver.  Home2 Suites also is approved for expansion into Canada and Mexico.
