HHM, Hersha Hospitality Management, Completes Renovation of Three
HYATT House Properties in Maryland, New Jersey and California

(Philadelphia) – June 25, 2012… HHM, formerly known as Hersha Hospitality Management, recently announced the completion of renovations at three HYATT house properties across its geographically diverse portfolio. HYATT house Gaithersburg, HYATT house Bridgewater and HYATT house Pleasanton, each received a complete upgrade of all guestrooms, with plans to renovate public spaces later this year.

All extended-stay Hyatt Summerfield Suites made the transition to the new HYATT house brand, in an effort to create a more homey and sociable brand. The renovated HYATT houses are three of 13 Hyatt hotels managed by HHM.

“We are confident that the upgrades we made to these three properties will enhance the inviting feel and new look of the HYATT house brand,” HHM President and Chief Executive Officer Naveen P. Kakarla said. “Guests will be pleasantly surprised at many of the new options they have for extended-stay trips with HHM and Hyatt House.”

HYATT house Gaithersburg is conveniently located in the middle of the Maryland Technology Corridor, making it easily accessible to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and corporate offices for Lockheed Martin, IBM and Sodexo. All 140 guestroom suites were completely redone with new furniture, artwork, drapes and fresh paint.  The highlight of the upgrades are the full-size kitchens, which received stainless steel appliances and granite countertops – accommodating for extended-stay as well as short-term travelers.  The bathrooms were also refreshed to create a more spa-like feel, with a tiled shower space that has sliding glass doors.

HYATT house Bridgewater in New Jersey is a central hub for pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Merck, making it a hotspot for business travel and extended stays.  To accommodate visitors, all 128 guestrooms now have a brighter feel from new carpets, bedding, and furniture in the room as well as tile, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The kitchen space also features a banquette and chairs to make travelers feel totally at home.  The clean new look extends to the bathrooms, which were completely redone with updated tile floors and showers, sliding glass doors, granite vanities and fresh paint.

HYATT house Pleasanton, which completed its renovation in April, remodeled everything in the suites, from the bedrooms to the kitchens and bathrooms, giving the guestrooms a more modern and tasteful look.  All rooms now have crisp new bedding to complement the king-size Hyatt Grand beds – with triple sheeting, down blankets and a white waffle sheet on top. New granite countertops and stainless steel appliances showcase the only full-sized, fully equipped kitchens provided in any local hotel.  And, bathrooms were renovated with floor to ceiling tile and glass doors.

A preferred hotel for the Pleasanton, California Fairgrounds, HYATT house Pleasanton is in the Hacienda Business Park, walking distance to offices of several large companies, and within a 45 minute drive to three major airports – San Francisco International Airport, San Jose International Airport and Oakland International Airport.
