John Panko Joins Richfield Hospitality as Vice President of Sales

DENVER, April 16, 2012Richfield Hospitality , a leading hotel management company, today announced that John P. Panko has joined the company as vice president of sales.  He will provide sales leadership for nine of the company’s hotels.

“As the hotel industry continues its steady growth, we saw an opportunity to enhance   our sales teams with a leader who has demonstrated effectiveness at helping hotels surpass their sales goals,” said Greg Mount, Richfield Hospitality president.  “John will develop and oversee the sales efforts on behalf of Richfield’s portfolio of properties, focusing on increasing group business and optimizing rate.  His experience successfully leading the sales efforts for several high-end brands will give our property-level sales teams unprecedented vision and support while enabling us to grow market share for our owners.”

Prior to joining Richfield, Panko was the divisional director of sales at the global office of Sage Hospitality, responsible for such hotels as the JW Marriott Cherry Creek, Nines and Hotel Ivy, all part of the Starwood luxury collection.  Panko joined Sage in 2003 as the director of sales at the Westin Westminster, where he earned Starwood’s sales leader of the year award and led his team to a nomination for sales team of the year.  A graduate of Ohio University, Panko began his hospitality career at the Radisson Hotel in Asheville.
