News for the Hospitality Executive |
March 2, 2012, Hot Springs, Virginia - The Homestead has announced the appointment of Tim Bugas as Director of Sales and Marketing. Bugas spent part of his early career at The Homestead and now upon returning, he will oversee all sales and marketing efforts at the historic resort, including the development of innovative strategies to drive business from corporate and incentive groups across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. He will also play a key role in introducing to the marketplace The Next Chapter - The Homestead's $25 million transformation, which will launch this summer. "We couldn't ask for a Sales and Marketing Director with more experience than Tim," said Peter Faraone, Managing Director of The Homestead. "We're delighted to have him introduce this new chapter at The Homestead two decades after he first cultivated his hospitality skills here." Bugas arrived at The Homestead from The Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa in the Allegheny Mountains of south-central Pennsylvania, where he was the Director of Sales and Marketing since May 2010. He held the same position with Primland, a five-star resort in Meadows of Dan, Virginia, which he helped to open in 2009. Previously, Bugas spent seven years at Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company, serving as Managing Director of Resort Sales for four years before being promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2004. Prior to Hershey, Bugas worked as Director of Sales at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. He served as National Sales Manager and as Director of Sales at The Homestead for five years early in his career.
