Select Registry Names New Board of Directors and Welcomes New President
Ellen Grinsfelder, Owner/Innkeeper, Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, Logan, Ohio

MARSHALL, Mich.,  (March 27, 2012) –  Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America has announced its new board of directors.

Select Registry represents 350 premier inns, B&Bs and small boutique hotels throughout the United States and Canada. Its board of directors is comprised of one innkeeper/owner representing each of the portfolio’s 13 geographic regions across North America.

The new board welcomed Ellen Grinsfelder, owner/innkeeper, Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, Logan, Ohio, as the new president.

“I am so proud to accept this position,” Grinsfelder said. “For those of us who love the innkeeping business, service is not just a motto; it’s the culture we live every day.  I’m honored to lead the elite Select Registry inns as we strive to set a new benchmark for service and quality in our industry.”

Grinsfelder is active in the Hocking Hills Tourism Association, Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association (OH&LA) and the Logan-Hocking Chamber of Commerce (LHCCC).  Due to her success in developing her inn’s operations and marketing programs, she has been recognized with numerous hospitality accolades, including the Ohio Hotelier of the Year Award from the OH&LA and the Small Business Person of the Year Award from the LHCCC.  Committed to giving back to her community, Grinsfelder also volunteers with Fairhope Hospice and recently joined the board of directors for the Central Ohio branch of the American Red Cross.  She previously served as chair of Select Registry’s marketing committee.  During her tenure, the organization saw significant gains in member retention, website traffic and loyalty program membership.

The new Select Registry board members Paul Di Liello, The Lafayette Inn (Easton, Pa.); Theresa Stavens, Inn at Warner Hall (Gloucester, Va.); Ruth Boven, Castle in the Country (Allegan, Mich.); Peter Sharp, Fairview Inn (Jackson, Miss.); and Deanne Fielding, Cameo Heights Mansion (Touchet, Wash.).

They join current board members: Bob Lenz, Asa Ransom House (Clarence, N.Y.); Mary Jo Brink, The Harstone Inn (Camden, Me.); Dan Brown, Swift House Inn (Middlebury, Vt.); Beth Fisher, Windemere Inn By The Sea (Indialantic, Fla.); Terry Hammer, Herman Hill Vineyard & Inn (Hermann, Mo.); Don Noble, Noble Inns (San Antonio, Texas); and Marty Cohen, Shore House at Lake Tahoe (Tahoe Vista, Calif.).

Among its priorities for 2012, the new board will spearhead Select Registry’s “Vacation of a Lifetime” promotion (http://www.selectregistry.com/Vacation-of-a-Lifetime.asp).  Members of the Golden Quill guest rewards program can enter for a chance to win a free night stay at each of the nearly 350 inns and B&B's in the Select Registry portfolio for a full year.
