introduce the
2012 Host Users Group Board of Directors, including several new

hospitality technology industry to be run by the users, for the users.
Beginning in 1989, HUG formed to assist
members in maximizing the utilization of the SMS|Host

organization
serves its members by providing a united forum through which users can
share
knowledge, create solutions and influence product direction.
Joining the Board of Directors in 2012 are Joe Rembold, Delaware North Companies, and Jeff Winiesdorffer, Chateau Elan Winery and Resort. Lyle Worthington, Horseshoe Bay Resort, returns to the HUG board for a second term. Other board members include Rob Rohrer, The American Club Resort, Melody Jones, Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts, Becky Collins, ARAMARK Parks and Destinations and the 2011 Chair, Matthew Watkins of Red Mountain Spa. Erik Shappy, IT Manager for The Woodstock Inn & Resort serves the board as the 2012 Chair. The HUG Board of Directors sets the strategic direction for the users group. In addition to the annual conference, the board focuses on enhancing the networking and educational value for all the members. Through a monthly newsletter, webinars, and online forums the HUG Board of Directors extends these opportunities throughout the year. “I am excited for the opportunity to lead the HUG organization and work with this Board of Directors,” remarked Erik Shappy, 2012 Chair of the SMS|Host Users Group and IT Manager for The Woodstock Inn & Resort. “HUG provides an incredible opportunity for our members to engage in a community based around common interests and experiences working in hospitality.” 2012 Host Users Group Conference will be held November 4-8, 2012 at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. In 2012 the conference will expand to include discussions and trainings for users of PAR Springer-Miller’s SpaSoft Spa Management System in addition.
